After a ¼-century career in the legal
field, as a legal assistant and office manager,
in the Kingston area, Lynne "hit the
glass ceiling" as it has come to be
described. Lynne just knew there was more
for her to do in this lifetime and she dared
to go after it. Lynne created a 3-year vision
and within that 3 years she realized it!
Five years after leaving her lucrative
career, Lynne came back home to roost in
the rural Kingston, Ontario area. Her experiences
of living frugally, with no net income for
one year, from living in foreign countries,
and from starting her own business have
served Lynne very well in becoming the expert
she now is in training, consulting and (most
importantly) coaching
her clients to also dare to figure
out what they want to be "when they
grow up" (as one of Lynne's
daughters assured would happen for Lynne
as Lynne was leaving Mexico, unsure of what
her next steps were nor where they would
lead her).
With a Professional Coaching diploma from
the world's largest coaching academy, The
Coaching Academy UK Ltd., Lynne became an
entrepreneur and started MLJ
Coaching International. She chuckles
today on how fearful she once was about
"self-employment" just hearing
a friend ask her what she thought about
that idea … for her friend, not even
for her!
In order to tap into a market where south-eastern
Ontario had not even yet heard of Professional
Coaching, Lynne got the support she needed
(weekly coaching for 2 full years!) and
faced her fears head-on. Where the vast
majority of self-employed businesses no
longer exist at the 5-year-mark, Lynne is
delighted to be enjoying the fruits of her
continually-blossoming professional coaching
business to this day.
As Lynne's clients
will tell you, it's her tell-it-like-it-is
style that helps her clients get
their desired results. On
October 16, 2009 Lynne won the
member of the
year award 2008-2009
for Kingston Home Builders association.
