Statistics show
that the top three problems in the
workplace today are (in this order):
- Communication
- Respect
- Support
My experience in businesses in Europe
and in the Kingston area has, in fact,
proven this to be the case.
When I am working with a manager
or a business owner I will often conduct
workshops with their teams, which
I call Communication Workshops. Without
exception, the teams (up to 10 members
per workshop), will cite communication
as being the biggest problem in their
workplace.
The 2nd biggest
problem? Again, without exception,
they claim it's that they feel their
employer/manager doesn't respect them.
And, as you may have guessed, they
also mention that they feel they're
not supported to their satisfaction
by their managers/employers.
On a scale of 1 - 10,
with 10 being highest:
- How would you rate your communication
skills - with your clients? And
with your staff?
- How much respect do you show
for your staff? And your clients?
- How much respect do you get from
your staff? And from your clients?
- How supportive are you to your
staff? How supportive are each of
your staff to you … and to
the business?
So how do I use coaching, which
you will learn more about in the following
pages, to increase productivity through
improved workplace relationships?
By working with people who recognize
that something must change for the
better and therefore they are either
open-minded or desperate enough to
be ready to explore possibilities
with me.
I'll help you
- Create a vision of exactly how
you'd like your department or business
to be - in detail;
- Map out the route to take to
reach that goal, one week at-a-time;
- Stay focused while overcoming
the obstacles you encounter along
the way; and,
- Hold yourself accountable in
actually following through on the
plans you create.
I'll be your support
mechanism the whole way!
In the following pages you'll learn
a lot about business coaching and
the benefits it provides. That said,
one gets out of coaching what one
puts into it; so if, after reading
the contents of this portfolio you
want these benefits, be ready to roll
up your sleeves. After
all, who knows about your department
or your business better than you?
